Hi All, Hard to believe we are marching in the 4th of July parade in just a few day. Sorry this is a bit late, but I received the instructions from the parade coordinator Monday when I was out camping and this would have been to hard to do from a phone. Anyway, here is the simplified information. Parade - Scouts must wear their uniform Parade line up starts at 10:00am Parade will start at 11:00am Our position in the parade is W05 - This is a little ways south of Forest Hill Ave on the west side of the north bound lane of Loomis road. This should be north of the two drop off points mentioned below. We share this spot with 3 girl scout troops. Also look for the Harley banner. Drop off - There are two drop off points for the parade - 1) In the parking lot of the old Coyote Pub on the corner of Hwy 100 & Loomis Rd. (entrance on Loomis), then walk to your lineup spot on Loomis; or 2) Brenwood Park Dr next to the post office (to get there, take 76th St., turn on Forest Hill, turn left on Highland Park Ave. (at the Foresthill Highland Senior Apts.), follow that around to Brenwood. You can be dropped off on the road or in the post office parking lot. Pick up - The parade ends shortly after the fire station on Drexel Ave. Scouts can be picked up at the Drexel Ave entrance to Legends Park. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * NEW 7-3-10 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * A couple more quick things for tomorrows parade. - It is going to be a hot and humid day. Water will be provided for the scouts. - We are going to try to set up the American and pack flags in a wagon so that the scouts don't have to carry them for the parade. We would like to decorate the wagon so it looks like a mini float. Bring any any 4th of July decorations that we can use on the wagon. The Bonus - We are near the start of the parade, so you will have time to get back to your seats to see most of the parade. To give you an idea how early we are, the first position out is W01. Then comes E01 and it alternates from there. The E's go up to 26 and the W's go up to 30.
